As mentioned in my previous post, Mum and I managed to get a 1 night stay at the Hong Kong Disneyland Hollywood Hotel because it was included in our touring package, and we had their breakfast at their Mickey cafe~ Man, I'd so want to go back to that place again because the ambiance is impeccable! It was a 2 day pass for our trip to Disneyland Theme park, and we realized that the whole trip was more like a food trip instead of a shopping tour for us! lolx
Just a small tip: If you were to go in tour trips, they will offer your food vouchers and tickets and you may use them to have your lunch/dinner meals in the theme park itself. However they only restricted it to the selected range of their restaurants in there. Here is a sample of the Food vouchers:
Each tourist is entitled 1 lunch coupon (top) and dinner coupon (bottom). As we managed to get a 2 days pass in the theme park, mum and I decided to try out the food stuffs that we can get in there.
This is the 'Beijing duck rice' that was on the menu, we thought it looked delicious thus ordered it for our dinner. As each coupon allows one set meal (it comes with a cup of chinese tea) and we had 2 coupons, we managed to get another set of the 'value meal' at the same store. To our horror, the duck was COLD and the rice was like so sticky (like our zi char's Mui Fan style) and mum was there complaining.. well, i guess it must be due to the cold weather when the food gets cold as the area wasn't sheltered up. Even our hot tea became cold in less than 5 minutes! Can you imagine how cold it was? Though it wasn't as freezing as those snowing temperature, we were still shivering due to the cold wind blowing towards us while having our meal. haha
The 2 cups of tea (Chinese tea) for our meals. refillable! =)
The vegetable~ I realized Hong Kong people liked to cut their vegetables very chunky in size! Being generous I guess?
The tea in metal cup. It somehow allows the tea to gets cool at a faster pace due to the material used for the cup.

The food that they offered for the meal coupons are quite limited in a sense, as the tourists are only able get to get the food from a certain meal range of the restaurant only. In my humble opinion, i do not know if the locals preferred such meals instead? I saw all of them sort of like 'enjoying' their meals while in the restaurant.. Well, mum and I wasn't quite impressed by the way the food was served.. as it comes along with some very weird smell. Maybe it was due to the fact that we might be a little bit picky about what I am eating. haha.
Honestly, the food didn't tasted great. Neither was it inedible lah.. but just felt that something wasn't right. Anyway as we were both hungry thus, in the end we didn't cared about how it tasted and just finished up the meals anyway. On a side note, don't the utensils looked cute? =)
Day 2, we made used of the lunch vouchers and headed to the restaurant for a simple lunch. Each team is allowed to order a set meal, which consists of 1 vegetable/egg/meat/tea/soup/rice.
the sweet and sour pork. very large portion! lolx~
That somehows ended the food trip of us, as we didn't managed to visit those theatre or playing stations as mum wasn't interested about it (and she cannot be bothered to wait for me in the cold weather). thus we headed back to the hotel and rest instead.
these are some of the pictures that I've abstracted from the whole trip in disneyland. Stay tuned for the next post up whereby I will update you guys about the other delicacies you can find in Hong Kong! =) (sounds pro hor? actually just a little nia hahaah~)
flowers all around the park.
Till next post! tata~ =)
loves~
