Hong Kong trip 2010 - Part 4

During the 4th day was an Free and Easy day for us. Thus the tour guide arranged for us to visit the Ocean park in Hong Kong. I felt that most of the attraction sites were somewhat similar to our very own Sentosa Island, but the only differences is that the attractions in the OP can be visited by the tourists with unlimited rides and views. A one time fee is applicable together with the admission ticket and you are able to enjoy all the scenic views + attractions without woes.

The cable cars~

However, we did not go for the rides (except for the cable car ride) as mum saw the terribly long queue and gave up waiting. lolx. We only walked around the park and had some meals along the way whenever we see any interesting stations around the site.

Hungry, so get some paos. hahah`

char siew pao~ very nice!! 3 for $5 HKD.

walked for awhile and it is lunch time. wa terrible i tell you. the food sold at their open food court really tasted very bad!

The worst Char Siew Rice I've ever eaten in my life. the char siew is HARD as roc (cannot even chew lor) and the rice is soggy. Hongkongnese like to eat nua rice meh?

It ended up becoming a scenery trip more to the both of us. haha~ look how gorgeous the flowers looked! it drizzled slightly on the day itself with the cold weather. Man, I hope Singapore has that kind of weather over here!

back to hotel to put our bags and then rested for a while, before heading towards the shopping mall beside the hotel and have our dinner. Was very thrilled to have found something very interesting!

This! It is a mini thermo-pot for soups~ it keeps the soup warm for a very long time and even until the last drop of the soup, you can still get to drink it piping hot! What a good invention! I wanted to search for it to bring it back to SG but to no avail. And I wonder if there are any sold in SG? Any ideas anyone?

Delicious Sweet and Sour pork with soup, rice and tea.

Our total bill. actually quite reasonable pricings for the 2 sets of meals because the food was really delicious. I do not mind paying for good food~ =)

My mum liked this alot! the chicken is very different as compared to those Hainanese chicken rice that we have locally. Must be due to the fact that the chicken used were not kampong chicken. It is so tender and juicy and the sauce given along with the dish is a good combination! I want to start working on it, to see if I am able to find out what are the ingredients needed for making them. =)

Ok that's all for now. Will update on some random foodstuffs in the next post. So stay tuned! =)
